İncirli pledges tighter entry checks and cost-of-living support
Speaking on Özgür Web TV, İncirli said the CTP would introduce advance notification procedures for arrivals, screening at entry points and follow-up checks after entry to tackle unregistered residency.
She also promised a population census within a year to 18 months, saying reliable figures were essential for planning healthcare, education, transport and security.
On the economy, İncirli outlined plans to remove VAT from basic necessities and explore VAT refunds for people in need. School bags and uniforms would also be considered for tax relief.
She said lower energy and production costs, support for agriculture and industry, and stronger public healthcare and education would help protect household budgets and employment.
İncirli pledged to replace the Prime Ministry Inspection Board with an anti-corruption authority independent of political influence, working alongside other oversight bodies and the Attorney-General’s Office.
Housing proposals include social housing, rent support and long-term, low-interest loans for first-time buyers.
She said the CTP was ready to govern and would provide equal services regardless of citizens’ political views.
