Erhürman seeks results from leaders’ meeting
PRESIDENT Tufan Erhürman has said he will attend today’s leaders’ meeting with the aim of holding “results-oriented talks” on seven confidence-building measures proposed by UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
In a written statement ahead of the meeting, President Erhürman said the agenda would focus on the proposals put forward by Mr Guterres during his visit to Cyprus at the end of July.
“As is known, I have already accepted six of the seven proposals,” he said.
“I am attending the meeting with the objective of holding results-oriented talks.”
